Lawal Jibrin grew up in Tudun Wada of Zaria Local Government Area, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
He obtained his first and second degrees in Mathematics and Public Administration respectively from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He then obtained a masters degree in computer science from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.
He has professional qualifications from local association such as: Nigerian Environmental Society of Nigeria (NES) Kaduna state, Waste Management Association of Nigeria (WAMASON). He attended several workshops on policy and waste management both in Nigeria and abroad which includes amongst them, Waste Management and Asset workshop in London hosted by Integrated Resource Efficiency and Environmental Management for Sustainability (IREEMS).
He Worked with Orphanage primary and secondary school Kaduna as a classroom teacher, Katsina State Water Board as clerical officer, National Electricity Power Authority (NEPA) now Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) where he rose to the rank of Assistant Manager and Kaduna State University as Principal Planning Officer. He was later appointed as Project Implementation and Monitoring Officer with Kaduna State Government and then Director Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance with Kaduna Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA).
He is now the Managing Director/CEO of Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA).
The Managing Director is married with Children and likes reading, tourism.
